All solvents of any kind are to be kept in sealed containers at all times ,except when mixing paint.
There is NO reason on earth that there should be an open container of any kind of solvent in the studio. The best oil painter I know only uses them for cleaning brushes when he is done for the day. Even unscented solvents will kill you, and they will do it faster than scented turps because nobody believes it, so they use them less carefully.
I undergo severe behavioral changes when exposed to solvent fumes, I would rather not have to have that happen, so I opt not to pose for oil painting most of the time. Pity, I love costume work.
