Hi all. I'm looking for figure/life modeling work in the greater North Bay/East Bay/SF area. I have 11 years experience, have worked at Art Institute of SF. Art Academy,College of Marin, Santa Rosa JC, Napa Valley College, pacificc Union college and many life drawing groups in the North Bay. I was feature model in two figurative art shows in the past year, and have extensive references. $20/hr local, $25.00 & bridge to travel.
i Will Not pose for Oil Painting unless stringent safety protocols are followed, will do any other medium and sculpture.
I also do photo modeling-nude/costume/fetish/rope, as well as <gasp>legiitimate commercial print work, rates to be negotiated.

Re: Qatana needs Work!
Mon, June 12, 2006 - 3:43 PMAll solvents of any kind are to be kept in sealed containers at all times ,except when mixing paint.
There is NO reason on earth that there should be an open container of any kind of solvent in the studio. The best oil painter I know only uses them for cleaning brushes when he is done for the day. His book, Master Class by Virgil Elliott, will be published next year, with a complete chapter on oil painting safety.
Even unscented solvents will kill you, and they will do it faster than scented turps because nobody believes it, so they use them less carefully.
I undergo severe behavioral changes when exposed to solvent fumes, I would rather not have to have that happen, so I opt not to pose for oil painting most of the time. Pity, I love costume work. -
