Soma Arts Cultural Center Class

Has anyone been to the Saturday morning Figure Drawing class at the Soma Arts Cultural Center in SF recently? I'm planning on attending at some point, but the website doesn't have much information on the format of the classes www.somarts.org/content/view/59/34/
For instance, are they short poses or long poses, and what is the genral atmosphere? Any information is helpful. Thanks!

Its pretty standard, starts with gestures and 2's then gets longer up to the final 20's...nothing longer than that tho. (at least the couple of times I went)...general atmosphere is 'academic/relaxed' - nice people, mature artists, quiet room....a bit of a feeling that some ppl are long time regulars and others are drop ins....

nice work space tho, big tables...

I can also recommend the CAO.org atelier group Sat Am from 11 to 2 just down the street at 8th and Folsom...(Big yellow building, will see a group waiting to get buzzed upstairs at 11, or use the intercom system to page up...)...

It's been a long time since I modeled for their Saturday morning session, but I am pretty sure that there was no instruction. The space is pleasant and has tons of natural lighting, and the atmosphere was serious but friendly. Some of the artists were extremely advanced, but not all. I would recommend trying it (unless you're seeking an actual class, as opposed to uninstructed sessions).
